Staff Memo 01-04-20 (no.2)

ADVICE FOR EMPLOYEES OVER 70

The government have made a recommendation that people over 70 should self isolate at home and stay there.

This recommendation is for the safety of this age group who are likely to suffer more and possibly die if they catch the virus.

For those over 70 working for NWSS, there is no more risk of contacting the virus in the workplace than anyone else and, no more risk of bringing it into the workplace than any other employee.

However, isolating at home greatly reduces the risk of contracting the virus.

This is a personal decision for each employee over 70 and needs to involve being realistic about personal health conditions and discussing the situation with family.
