Staff Memo #2 03-05-23

DON’T GET CAUGHT WITH YOUR MASK DOWN

As we enter the winter months we have had an increase in the number of staff testing positive for COVID-19, as is the case in the general community. Many people are showing few or no symptoms.  This increases the risk of spread.

We are currently carrying out extensive risk assessments to inform our review of mask requirements.

In the meantime, we are taking best practice advice from the Tasmanian Health Department and Work Safe Australia and directing that masks be worn in the workplace at all times.

We thank you for your cooperation on this to keep the people we support, and the staff we work with, as safe as possible.

We realise that wearing masks for long periods of time can be uncomfortable. It will help if you:

·  Remove your mask on regular breaks outside

·  Change your mask every two (2) hours

·  Take regular drinks of water

Again. thank you for your cooperation as we pull together to support a community of vulnerable people.
